North End Interiors

Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with North End Interiors (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Our website is powered by Shopify; however, all sales are made directly with North End Interiors.

1. Access & Use

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when purchasing from us.

2. Products & Descriptions

We take care to accurately represent our products. Colours, textures and appearance may vary depending on screen settings and the natural characteristics of materials. Product descriptions are subject to change without notice.

3. Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items

All ottomans, footstools and items made to your specification (including size, fabric, finish or any non-standard request) are classed as bespoke or made-to-order.

These items:

  • Cannot be cancelled or returned once work has begun

  • Are exempt from returns under the Consumer Contracts Regulations

  • Remain fully covered by your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if faulty or not as described

4. Orders & Confirmation

Orders are only accepted once confirmed in writing and payment has been received.
For online purchases, confirmation is provided via the automated order confirmation email.

Full details of bespoke orders (measurements, fabrics, specifications) will be confirmed at invoicing stage. Please check carefully — amendments not caused by us may incur additional charges.

Telephone orders are not accepted.

5. Payment Terms

Online Orders (Website / Posted Items)

Payment in full is required at checkout.

Local Bespoke Commissions

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to accept an order.
The balance is payable in full prior to delivery.

Payment (or deposit where applicable) constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

6. Pricing

All prices are subject to change. Prices exclude delivery unless stated. Promotions are governed by their own terms.

7. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only and depend on material availability. We are not responsible for delays outside our control.

Risk remains with North End Interiors until delivery has been completed to you.
Carriage and delivery charges are additional unless otherwise stated.

8. Customer-Supplied Materials

Where a customer wishes to use their own material, this must be discussed directly with us in advance and agreed in writing.

You are responsible for providing sufficient information and evidence to demonstrate that any customer-supplied fabric is suitable for the intended use and complies with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, where applicable.

We can only take responsibility for materials supplied by us. Any shortages, faults or non-compliance in customer-supplied materials remain the customer’s responsibility.

9. Fire & Safety Regulations

All new fillings and cover fabrics supplied by us for furniture manufactured after 1 January 1950 comply with the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

10. Natural Behaviour of Materials

We cannot be responsible for the natural behaviour of fabrics, trims or treatments including wear, fading, stretching, shrinkage, staining or deterioration, particularly where care instructions are not followed.

11. Faults & Issues

Any issues not related to faults must be reported within 7 days of receipt.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

12. Intellectual Property

All website content, imagery and designs are the property of North End Interiors and may not be reproduced without written permission.

13. Third-Party Services

Our website uses Shopify to provide the platform. All purchases are made directly with North End Interiors. Shopify has no responsibility for individual orders.

14. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where unlawful to do so, including statutory consumer rights.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where necessary. Any outstanding balances remain payable.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
